Ian has worked since 1985 as a diagnostic radiographer for public and private institutions, specialising firstly in CT and later ultrasound.

As chief sonographer in a private radiology firm, he became increasingly frustrated at the adhoc approach of recruitment agencies, leading him to establish Healthsite Recruitment Australia in 2004. The Healthsite Recruitment office is in the beachside region of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, one of the fastest growing communities in Australia.

The brief of the business is to deliver recruitment services to both employers and radiographers at a technically high and personally sensitive level.

"The ensuing success of the business has been based on our willingness to get on the phone and talk to clients and radiographers about their needs and wants. Clients appreciate the effort we make to understand their staffing issues, and radiographers appreciate us getting up in the middle of the night to talk to them on the phone about the ins and outs of moving to Australia.
